Pearl weave is currently the most used fabric for BJJ gis. It’s very strong and durable, even when a low GSM has been used. There are many different styles of gi’s available with pearl weave fabrics, from lightweight competition gi to limited edition gis.

All GI’s shrink at least a little bit. and so did my Fuji, just a touch, but no more. Every other GI ive owned has shrunk beyond being useful. My experience has been that color has no bearing at all on Gi shrinkage, and nothing out there shrinks more than Fuji.
